Found in Sabah Borneo in lower montane forests at elevations of 1200 to 1700 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing, mat forming epiphyte with cylindric, decumbent, tapering at each end pseudobulbs carrying, at right angles to the decumbent pseudobulb, twisted, suborbicular, acuminate, abruptly narrowing below into the shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a basal, erect, .32" [8 mm] long, single flowered inflorescence
