Found in New Guinea in lowland forests at elevations around 150 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with cylindrical to conical-cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, oblanceolate-ligulate, minutely apiculate, narrowing below into the base leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect short, .32" [8 mm] long, few bracted, single flowered inflorescence.
