Found in New Guinea in montane forests on trees at elevations around 1000 meters as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte with superposed pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, ligualte, apiculate, narrowing below intot he base leaf that blooms in the winter on a very short, few bracted single flowered inflorescence
