Common Name The One Sided Bulbophyllum [refers to the flowers being on one side of the inflorescence] - In China Shao Hua Shi Dou Lan

Found in Assam India, eastern Himalayas, Nepal, Bhutan, Sikkim, Southern China, Myanamar, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam in temperate forests at elevations of 1000 to 2100 meters as a miniature sized, cool to warm growing epiphyte with globose, close-set pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, linear, subacute, basally narrowing into the channeled petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a basal, 5" [12.5 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence just exceeding leaf height.
