Common Name Shephard's Bulbophyllum [Australian collector of species 1800's] - The Wheat Leafed Rope Orchid
Flower Size .18 to .2" [.4 to .5 cm]
Found in Queensland and New South Wales Australia at elevations of 5 to 1000 meters in rainforests on trees and rocks as a miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte or lithophyte with branching stems carrying well spaced, ovoid, slightly compressed, yellow-green to dark green, naked pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, stalkless, fleshy, deeply and broadly grooved, pale to dark green leaf that blooms in the fall and winter on [5 to 9 mm] long, single flowered inflorescnece.
