Found from the lowlands of Singapore and Johore Malaysia and also in Borneo as a small to medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with a thick sheath covered rhizome giving rise to 4" spaced, slightly flattened, cylindrical psuedobulbs carrrying a single apical, narrowly linear, acute, basally conduplicate leaf that blooms in the fall on a very short, basal, several to many flowered inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb and carrying very foul smelling, wide open flowers
