Common Name The Taiwan Bulbophyllum - In China Tai Wan Juan Ban Lan

Found in southern Taiwan in forests on tree trunks at elevations below 1000 meters as a mini-miniture sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome with .2 to .6" [5 to 15 mm] between each usually ovoid, more or less longitudunally striped pseudobulb and carrying a single, apical, erect, narrowly oblong, fleshy, obtuse, retuse, narrowing below into the shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a basal, yellowish-green, slender, longitudinally striped, 2.4 to 4" [ 6 to 10 cm] long, densely 5 to 8 flowered inflorescence with several brown bracts and a lanceolate floral bract
