Common Name The Thin Leafed Bulbophyllum
Flower Size 5/8" [1.8 mm]
Found in Thailand, Malaysia, Sumatra, Borneo, Java and Sulawesi on old mangroves and isolated trees in grasslands, podosol forests and lower montane forests at elevations around sea level to 1530 meters as a miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with ovoid, slightly 4 angled, purple flushed pseudobulbs that are close set and carries a single, apical, linear, more or less acute, thick, fleshy, basally slightly petiolate leaf that has the base flushed with purple and blooms on a 1 to 2 1/4" long, slender, single flowered inflorescence.
Verm & O’Byrne state that this species has excessive variability over it’s range and most likely all the photos above are B tenuifolium, althought he first photo by O’Byrne is exact to their description of 2011 for Sulawesi
