Common Name Tresch's Bulbophyllum [Original Cultivator of species current]

Flower Size 6.6" [16.5 cm] long

Found in Malaysia without locality but at elevations of 1000 to 1500 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a slowly creeping, branching rhizome giving rise to close set, conical-ovoid, tetragonal, concave side on older, slightly compressed pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect to slightly spreading, leathery, rigid, dark green, oblong, acute to obtuse, apiculate, subpetiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on a descending to pendent, to 6" [15 cm] long, 4 flowered inflorescence carrying simultaneously opening flower.

Very similar to B plumatum but differs in the wrinkled, rugose sepals and the lip that appears shorter, more darkly and heavily spotted and more squared off and obtuse at the apex.
