Found in Java and Sabah and Sarawak Borneo in lower to upper montane forests at elevations of 1500 to 1700 meters as a small sized, warm to cool, pendent growing epiphyte with .4 to .8" [1 to 2 cm] between each, ovoid, slightly flattened pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, thick, ovate, dark green suffused with dull red to purplish, gradually narrowing below into the shortly petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer through winter on a basal, 1/2" [1.25 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with tubular floral bracts and unscented flowers
