Found only in Sabah, Borneo in hill and lower montane forests at elevations of 400 to 1000 meters as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte with ovoid, somewhat flattened pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, rather thick, elliptic leaf that basally is conduplicate into a petiole and blooms in the summer in situ on a basal, 2.1" [5.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with elliptic floral bracts
