Found in Queensland Australia in rainforests on small upper branches of trees at elevations of 1000 to 1600 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm to cool growing epiphtye with a sparsely branched rhizome enveloped by brown bracts and carrying partially enveloped by bracts, dark green pseudobulbs carrying a single, dark green, fleshy, broadly and deeply grooved leaf that blooms in the fall and winter on 1 to 2, .14 to .24" [4 to 6 mm] long, single flowered inflorescence
