Found in New Guinea and Queensland Australia in lowland and lower montane forests at elevations of 100 to 900 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with ovoid, shiney, light green pseudobulbs carrying a single, darker green, elliptic, equally acutely bilobed apically leaf that blooms in the winter summer and fall on a terminal, short, single flowered inflorescence
