Found in Java at elevations of 1400 to 2100 meters as a medium szied, warm to cool growing terrestrial with close set pseudobulbs carrying 2, dark green, narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter on a terminal, 14.8" [to 37 cm] long, to 20 flowered inflorescence with a persistent leafy bracts that is more than twice the length of the flower.
