Found in New Caledonia in rainforests at elevations around 400 to 800 meters as a large sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial with a stem that is swollen basally and carrying light green, plicate, narrowly elliptic, acute leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, terminal, shorter than the leaves, several flowered inflorescence
