Common Name Bryce's Caladenia [Australian Orchid Collector early 20th cen] - The Dwarf Jester Orchid

Flower Size .4 to .8" [1 to 2 cm]

Found in Western Australia in woodlands and shrublands at elevations of 150 to 250 meters as a miniature sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial orchid with a single leaf that blooms in the late winter and spring on an erect, 1.2 to 4" [3 to 10 cm] long, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence. This is the smallest member of the genus and as such is difficult to locate..
