Common Name The Chained Caladenia - The White Fingered Orchid

This small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial species is from New Caledonia, Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria, Australia occuring in well-drained soil in heathland and heathy forests at elevations of sealevel to 600 meters with a single, densely hairy leaf that blooms on an erect, to 12" [to 30 cm] long, 1 to 2 successive flowered inflorescence occuring in the spring and is pollinated by bees.
