Found in Victoria Australia at elevations of 400 to 900 meters in woodlands and open forests on shallow, gravelly sand and clay loams as a medium sized, cold to cool growing terrestrial orchid with a single, linear leaf that blooms in the spring on an erect, 6" to 12" [15 to 30 cm] long, one to 4 flowered inflorescence carrying spicey fragrant flowers
