Found in SE Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia at elevations of 5 to 200 meters occuring at elevations of 5 to 200 meters in open forests in soils varying from sandy to clayey as a small sized, cold to warm growing terrestrial orchid with a single, narrow, hairy leaf with a basal, erect, 18" [45 cm] long inflorescence with 1 to 4 flowers occuring in the spring.
