Found in Victoria Australia at elevations of 100 to 450 meters in heathy and shrubby forests as a small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial occuring in open forest with open heathy or grassy under-story often in poor stony soils where it blooms in the spring on an erect, to 10" [25 cm] long, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence and are generally thought to be pollinated by bees.
