Found in China, Myanamar and Thailand in broad leafed evergreen forests at elevations of 800 to 1200 meters as a medium sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with close set, ovoid to ovoid-conical, constricted in the middle, 4 to 6 angled pseudobulbs and carrying 2 to 3, elliptic, deciduous leaves that blooms in the fall on a lateral, densely white villous, to 11.2" [to 28 cm] long, racemose, sparsely, successively 3 to 10 flowered inflorescence
