Common Name Robertson's Calochilus - The Purple Beard Orchid
Flower Size 1 1/4" [3 cm]
Found in New Zealand, Western Australia and Victoria State Australia in subalpine to lowland open areas near Eucalyptus as a small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial occuring in woodland, open forest and heathland at el;evations of sea level to 800 meters with a narrow fleshy leaf that is triangular in cross-section and fully developed at blooming that blooms in the later spring on a 18" [40 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
