Found in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia as well as New Zealand in open forests and heathlands at elevations of se level to 800 meters as a medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with a narrow, fully developed leaf at blooming that blooms in the spring and early summer on an erect, 14" [35 cm] long, 2 to 9 flowered inflorescence.
