Common Name The Small Caladenia - Small Greencomb Spider Orchid

This miniature to small sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial species is from Victoria state, Australia where it occurs in coastal areas of heathy woodland - particularly on slashed verges or in grassy breaks, in sandy to clayey soil and blooms in the spring in situ and is thought to be pollinated by pseudocopulation by the male Thynnid wasp. May be conspecific with Caladenia phaeoclavia and if so this name takes precedence.
