Common Name The Reddish Calanthe

Flower Size 1 1/4" [3 cm]

Found in Vietnam, Thailand, penninsular Malaysia, Borneo and the Philippines at elevations sea level to 1800 meters as a medium to just large sized, hot to cool growing terrestrial with 4 angled, flask shaped pseudobulbs that are constricted towards the apex carrying deciduous plicate leaves and the orchid blooms in the fall through winter on a few, erect, basal, peduncle to 20" [50 cm] long, pubescent, rachis lengthening with time several [12] flowered inflorescence on mature leafless pseudobulbs.
