Common Name or Meaning The Surinam Caluera

Found in Surinam and Para' State of Brazil in rainforests at elevations around 400 to 500 meters on thin, mossy twigs of trees as a mini-miniature szied, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a very short stem enveloped copmpletely by imbricating, leaf bearing sheaths each carrying, distchously arranged, narrowly elliptic, acute apically, ancipitous, leaves that blooms in the spring on an axillary, .8" [2 cm] long, 4 to 5 flowered infloresence with a vaginate, acuminate sheath at the mid-point and narrowly ovate flroal bracts.
