Found in southern Brazil and northern Argentina in warm lowlands as a medium szied, warm growing epiphyte with elongate roots, a monopodial, erect to ascending stem without pseudobulbs and carrying distichous, rigid, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the fall on a lateral, 4 to 16 flowered inflorescence carrying fragrant flowers .
