This is a medium sized, hot to warm growing, Mexican, epiphytic species found at medium altitudes in deciduous forests and at lower elevations in deciduous jungle that blooms on a basal or lateral [from within a brown leaf sheath], erect, several flowered, racemose inflorescence arising on a newest forming pseudobulb and occurring in the early to late summer and requires light to moderate shade.
