Common Name The Purple Catasetum

Flower Size

Found in Colombia and Peru where it blooms on an erect to arching, basal racemose, several flowered inflorescence occurring in the late summer and best planted in pots, water heavy with the new growths, slack off in the fall and the leaves fall off in winter. This species is now considered to be a natural hybrid of Catasetum incurvum and Catasetum discolor
