Found in Mato Grosso state of Brazil as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte with subfusiform pseudobulbs carrying lanceolate, acuminate, plicate, 3 nerved, gradually narrowing below into the shortly petiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall on a basal, 4.4 to 4.8" [11 to 12 cm] long, few flowered inflorescence
