Common Name The Beautiful Catasetum

Flower Size 1.6" [4 cm]

Found in north & northeastern Brazil on palms and other trees as a small to just medium sized, epiphyte with fusiform pseudobulbs enveloped completely by imbricating, leaf sheaths becoming leaf bearing towards the apex and carrying to 8, oblong-ligulate, plicate, 6 nerved leaves that blooms in the late summer and fall on a pendant, to 1.2" [3 cm] long, to 5 flowered inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb and carrying resupinate flowers
