Common Name The Semi-Circular Catasetum [refers to the semi-circular keels on the callus near the base of the lip]

Found in Rondônia state of Brazil in rainforests on palms at elevations of 100 to 300 meters as a medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with fusiform to ellipic, clustered pseudobulbs enveloped completely by imbricate, leafless and higher up leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying to 8, oblanceolate, pliate leaves that blooms in the summer on a male, arching to pendant, 12" [30 cm] long, to 15 flowered infloresence
