Found in Santa Catarina state in the coastal Atlantic forest of Brazil as a medium sized, cool growing epiphtye with fusiform pseudobulbs carrying 6, plicate, 3 veined, elliptic-lanceolate leaves that blooms in the early spring and again in the summer or fall on a to 17" [43 cm] long, arching to pendant, to 10 flowered inflorescence
