Common Name The Intricate Cattleya

Flower Size 1" [2.5 cm]

Found in Minas Gerais state of Brazil on rocky outcrops at elevations around 1100 meters as a small sized, cool growing lithophtye with obclavate pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic, obtuse, coriaceous leaf that blooms in the summer on an erect, terminal, to 8" [20 cm] long overall, rachis to 2.8" [7 cm] long, simultaneously few flowered inflorescence.

CAUTION!! This species within my generic framework would better be within the genus Laelia but to date has not been named as such
