Found in Minas Gerais, Rio de Janiero and Sao Paulo states of Brazil as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with small, elongate-ovoid, smooth becoming longitudinally striate with age, laterally compressed pseudobulbs enveloped basally by 1 to 2 leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, linear-ligulate to oblanceolate, acute to acuminate, attenuate below into the conduplicate, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a basal, 2" [5 cm] long, sinuous, slightly fractiflex few flowered inflorescence
