Common Name or Meaning The Short-Winged Coelogyne [refers to the side lobes of the lip being wing-like]

Found in Burma, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam in primary montane forests at elevations of 1000 to 1500 meters as a medium sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with elongate-ovoid, angled pseudobulbs carrying 2 elliptic-lanceolate, suberect, plicate, petiolate acute leaves that blooms in the spring on a pendulous to erect, terminal, 7 1/4" [18 cm] long, racemose inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb with 5 to 7, fragrant, simultaneously opening flowers.
