Found in Vietnam, Myanamar, Thailand, India and the Himalayan kingdoms in semi-deciduous and deciduous dry lowland forests and savana-like woodlands at elevations of sealevel to 700 meters to this miniature sized, leafless epiphyte with small leaves that wither before blooming in the spring and summer on an erect, 4 to 8" [10 to 20 cm] long, pubescent raceme with 10 to 20, fragrant flowers that needs bright light and frequent waterings.
