Found only in Costa Rica and Panama in moist forests at elevations around 1400 meters as a miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with a short stem carrying 3 to 5, subcoriaceous, oblanceolate, to linear-lanceolate, acute, slightly undulate margins, contracted below into the conduplicate, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring on 1 to 2, lateral, terete, 1.25 to 1.65" [3.2 to 4.2 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence
