Found in Morona-Santiago department of Ecuador in wet montane forests at elevations around 1500 to 1850 meters as a medium sized, cool growing epiphyte with a loose fan of several, strap-shaped, widest in the middle, conduplicate leaves that blooms on an axillary, 3.2 to 4" [8 to 10 cm] long, 1 to 2, ovoid bracted, single flowered inflorescence.
