Found in SE Brazil in the state of Rio de Janiero and Sao Paulo on the backside of the mountains near the coast at elevations of 500 to 700 meters in cloud forests as a miniature sized, cool to warm growing epiphyte needing ample humidity and water and partial shade. This species has a fan-shape of several slender, keeled, olive-green, acute leaves that are apically slightly recurved and blooms in the spring on a pendant, wiry, 2" [5 cm] long, several [4 to 6] flowered inflorescence
