Common Name The Abbreviated Bulbophyllum
Flower Size 1/2" [1.25 cm]
This miniature sized, epiphytic species occuring in northeastern Madagascar at elevations of 500 to 1000 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte and has globose to conical pseudobulbs with a single, apical, elliptic, petiolate leaf and blooms on a basal few flowered inflorescence holding the flowers in an apical loose umbel. .
See also Bulbophyllum trigonopus, often cited as synomonous with this name but if the pictures from Garay are correct then they are distinct species. I await more information.
