Flower Size 2/5" [1 cm]

Found from Sikkim, India, Myanmar, northern Vietnam, and southern China on shady rocks and on tree trunks in sparse woods at elevations of 500 to 2000 meters. This small sized, warm to cool growing epiphytic species has 2.8 to 3.2" [7 to 8 cm] between each conical, smooth pseudobulb with basal fibrous sheaths and carrying a single, apical, ovate, obtuse leaf and blooms in the fall on a basal, thin, wiry, spotted, 4.8" [12 cm] long, umbellate inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb and having an acuminate, tubular bract below the middle with a few [6] flowers held in an umbel at the apex.

This is a warm to cool growing species that needs a large mount to accomodate the rambling growth habits and needs partial shade, good air circulation and ample water and fertilizer to grow well.
