Common Name The Pendant Cirrhaea
Flower Size 1 1/2" [3.75 cm]
A fragrant Brazilian, medium sized, hot to warm growing species that has clustered, narrow grooved, egg shaped psuedobulbs with a single apical, plicate, petiolate, lanceolate leaf and a basal, 1 1 2/' [45 cm] long, racemose inflorescence that is pendulous with numerous [to 20] dense, waxy, long-lasting, color variable flowers that open simultaneously although not fully and bloom in the spring and summer. They do best in a basket to accomodate the pendant inflorescence. A short rest is nessasary after blooming.
