Found in Assam, Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Myanamar as a small to medium sized epiphyte with an erect stem enveloped completely by imbricate leaf bearing sheaths carrying terete, acute, channeled above, basally clasping below leaves that blooms in the later summer on an axillary, short to 2" [to 5 cm], 6 to 8 flowered inflorescence carrying waxy flowers
