Common Name Crochet's Cleisostoma

Flower Size 1/2" [1.25 cm]

Found in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos at elevations of 300 to 1000 meters in humid, mossy, mixed and coniferous forests on mossy branches of old gnarled, dwarf trees as a miniature sized, hot to warm growing, monopodial epiphyte with a very short stem carrying 2 rows, of thickened, leathery, green leaves with maroon stains if left if more sun that blooms in the summer and fall on a pendant, paniculate, to 5 branched, 8 to 14" [20 to 35 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence with up to 15 open at a time, successive opening flowers.
