Found in Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, Borneo, Java and Sumatra in lowland, podosol and peat swamp forests at elevations of sealevel to 600 meters as a small to medium sized, hot growing epiphyte with a stout, pendulous, apically upturned, elongate inflorescence carrying lanceolate, abruptly narrrowing near the apex, keeled below, slightly unequal apically, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the spring summer and fall on a simple to branched, pointed straight down, rigid, gradually lengthening to 16" [40 cm] long, many flowered inflorescence
