Found in Chinese Himalayas, Assam, Eastern Himalayas, Sikkim, Southern China, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and Borneo in shady places beside streams in hill forests at elevations of 400 to 1600 meters as a miniature to small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a pendulous, monopodial erect, stem carrying many, linear, basally constricted and attenuate to the stem, acute leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on an axillary, few flowered, .6" [1.5 cm] long, thickened , angled inflorescence.
