Common Name The Bent Raceme Coelogyne

Found in penninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Bali and Java in lower montane forests at elevations of 900 to 1500 meters high up on isolated tree trunks and branches in bright light as a medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with close set, ovoid, ridged pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, acute, margins slightly undulate, plicate, 9 nerved, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms on an erect, 15" [37.5 cm] long, several [15] flowered, flexuous inflorescence which arise from a mature psuedobulb with a fractiflex rachis in the spring and early summer with the sweetly fragrant flowers opening simultaneously but not opening fully.
