Found in southeastern Yunnan China and north Vietnam on trees over limestone on rocky slopes at elevations around 1400 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with .8" [2 cm] between each, elongate-ovate pseudobulb carrying a single, apical, elliptic to obovate-elliptic, coriaceous, obtuse to acuminate, abruptly contracted into the petillate bsae leaf that blooms in the fall on a synanthous or hysternathous, basally sheathed, 8" [20 cm] long, lax, few flowered inflorescence with persistent, narrowly oblong, floral bracts and simultaneously opening flowers
