Found in Assam India and in Myanamar in hill forests at elevations of 900 to 1500 as a miniature to small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with 1.2" [3 cm] between each oblong, compressed, basally sheathed pseudobulbs carrying 2, apical, oblong to linear-lanceolate, acuminate, plicate, 7 nerved, gradually narrowing below intothe petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter and early spring ona hysteranthous, erect, 2.2" [5.5 cm] long, slightly zig-zag, 5 to 7 flowered inflorescence with a few imbricating basal bracts, deciduous floral bracts and carrying simulataneosuly opening, small flowers
